ACGlobal Returns to South Korea to Strengthen Philippine-Korean Investment Partnership

MANILA, Philippines — The Asian Consulting Group (ACGlobal) is returning to South Korea for its 2026 Philippine Investment Mission, with engagements in Seoul from August 24–31 and Busan from September 1–3, aimed at strengthening economic ties, engaging Korean industries, and advancing policy dialogue on investment opportunities and doing business in the Philippines.

Building on its previous engagements with Korean companies and investment partners, the mission will include one-on-one business meetings, investor consultations, policy discussions, and industry dialogues designed to address the practical concerns of Korean companies exploring or expanding operations in the Philippines.

A major highlight will be ACGlobal's participation in the Philippines-Korea Business Forum on August 27 in Seoul, organized by the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC)-Seoul, in partnership with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and the Philippine Embassy in Korea, and the support of the Asian Consulting Group (ACGlobal), Aboitiz Economic Estates, BDO Unibank, and the Industrial Bank of Korea.

The forum will bring together Philippine government officials, industry leaders, financial institutions, and Korean investors to discuss investment opportunities, fiscal and non-fiscal incentives, taxation, financing, regulatory developments, and strategies for successfully establishing and expanding businesses in the Philippines.

PEZA Director General Tereso O. Panga will deliver the keynote presentation on Philippine investment opportunities, while ACGlobal’s Raymond “Mon” Abrea will discuss “Why Invest in the Philippines? — Tax Updates, Emerging Tax Policy Reforms, and Doing Business in the Philippines.”

“This mission is more than an investment promotion campaign. It is about listening to investors, understanding the challenges they face, and bringing those concerns into meaningful policy discussions that can improve the Philippine business environment,” Abrea said.

Our comeback to Korea reflects our long-term commitment to building stronger partnerships with Korean industries. We want investors to see the Philippines not simply as a market, but as a strategic investment destination and long-term partner in Asia.

Empowering Overseas Filipinos Through Financial Literacy and Investment

Beyond engaging Korean companies, the mission will also reconnect with the Filipino community in South Korea through financial literacy, investment, and entrepreneurship discussions designed specifically for overseas Filipinos.

The initiative aims to empower OFWs with the information, practical skills, and investment options needed to turn hard-earned overseas income into long-term wealth and sustainable businesses in the Philippines.

Particular emphasis will be placed on understanding legitimate investment opportunities, entrepreneurship, financial planning, and tax-efficient or tax-exempt investment options available to qualified overseas Filipinos under Philippine law, helping OFWs make more informed decisions about savings, investments, and eventual reintegration into the Philippine economy.

“Our OFWs should not only be recognized for the remittances they send home. We should help them become investors, entrepreneurs, and wealth creators. Financial literacy gives overseas Filipinos the tools to make their hard-earned money work for them and their families,” Abrea said.

The OFW engagements will also introduce opportunities to invest and establish businesses in the Philippines, providing overseas Filipinos with practical guidance on taxation, compliance, investment structures, and government incentives.

Global Book Launch: Why Invest in the Philippines?

The South Korea mission will likewise feature the global launch of the latest edition of Why Invest in the Philippines?, providing both foreign investors and overseas Filipinos with a practical guide to the country’s evolving investment landscape, economic opportunities, incentives, tax reforms, and regulatory environment.

The book launch complements the mission’s broader objective of transforming investment promotion into investment education and actual investor engagement—whether the prospective investor is a Korean corporation looking for its next Asian expansion or an overseas Filipino preparing to invest back home.

The mission will continue in Busan from September 1–3, expanding ACGlobal’s engagement beyond Seoul and creating opportunities to connect with Korean companies, industry groups, potential investors, and the Filipino community.

ACGlobal has been actively supporting foreign investors through investment advisory, tax policy guidance, government facilitation, and international investment missions promoting the Philippines across key global markets.

The South Korea mission forms part of a broader effort to strengthen investor confidence by connecting investment promotion with policy reform, regulatory predictability, tax competitiveness, ease of doing business, financial literacy, and long-term investor support.

Our message is twofold: to Korean investors, come and grow with the Philippines; and to our fellow Filipinos overseas, invest in your own future and become part of the Philippines’ growth story,” Abrea added.
