MILAN, ITALY — As part of the Philippine Investment Mission in Europe, Global Tax Policy Expert and ACGlobal Chief Tax Advisor Mon Abrea paid a courtesy call on Philippine Consul General Jim Tito San Agustin at the Philippine Consulate General in Milan to strengthen collaboration in promoting the Philippines as a preferred investment destination for Italian businesses and supporting Italian companies already operating in the country.
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of ACGlobal and the Philippine Consulate General in Milan to work closely with Philippine embassies, consulates, and trade and investment offices worldwide in attracting quality foreign investments and providing strategic assistance to investors exploring opportunities in the Philippines.
“Our mission goes beyond sharing global tax policy expertise. Wherever we go, we proudly carry the Philippine flag and build stronger partnerships with our embassies, consulates, and trade and investment centers to help create more investments, more jobs, and more opportunities for every Filipino,” Abrea said.
Among the key initiatives discussed were the Philippines’ competitive investment reforms, including the CREATE MORE Act, the Strategic Investment Priority Plan (SIPP), the Luzon Economic Corridor, Pax Silica, the country’s network of free trade agreements, and tax treaties that continue to enhance the Philippines’ position as one of Asia’s emerging investment destinations.
Abrea also shared ACGlobal’s initiative to expand the global distribution of its latest publication, Why Invest in the Philippines? CREATE MORE Edition, which will soon be available in digital format through the ACGlobal website, www.acg.ph, to provide investors worldwide with easier access to practical guidance on doing business in the Philippines.
Following the Europe Investment Mission, ACGlobal will participate in the ASEAN Tech Summit Manila 2026 on July 29, where Mon Abrea will join regional policymakers, regulators, investors, entrepreneurs, and technology leaders as a panelist for “The Next Frontier of Finance: Building Inclusive and Scalable Digital Capital Markets in ASEAN.” He will share how forward-looking tax policy can help build trust, attract investment, foster innovation, and support more inclusive and resilient digital capital markets across ASEAN.
ACGlobal also announced its plan to continue its Europe Investment Mission in November 2026 to further strengthen partnerships with investors, business organizations, and institutions committed to investing in the Philippines.
“Investment promotion is a shared responsibility. By working together with our Philippine embassies, consulates, and trade and investment offices around the world, we can proudly carry our flag and showcase the Philippines as a competitive, trusted, and future-ready investment destination,” Abrea added.
